To maintain quality of life and extend life expectancy for patients suffering from kidney diseases, we at Fresenius Medical Care have dedicated our efforts to continually improve patient's treatment and clinical outcomes. As a result, more than 170,000 patients worldwide are efficiently treated every day with the high-standard dialysis machines in 2,238 Fresenius Medical Care's dialysis centres.
In order to improve the care and treatment of patients, in 2005 Fresenius Medical Care embarked on an initiative to broaden its therapeutic choices by providing renal pharmaceuticals. Last year, the initiative culminated in the establishment of a separate entity within Fresenius Medical Care called Renal Pharma, a clear indication of the scope and ongoing development of Fresenius Medical Care as a fully integrated renal care provider.
Driven by its spirit and commitment, Fresenius Medical Care is now able to extend the care it provides to dialysis patients beyond the manufacturing of high-tech machines and expert services for daily therapy sessions. By integrating the knowledge and expertise we have gained in over 30 years in the field of dialysis, Fresenius Medical Care is now dedicated to provide a broad and innovative spectrum of renal pharmaceuticals precisely tailored to meet the specific needs of dialysis patients.
